The Froggy Façade

Hello!!!

If you haven’t read the mini about me section, well you are in luck because this is the big version of that!

As you see above, my name is Meghan. I am 02′ baby who lives in Utah, yes that is the state with the Mormons. I have lived here my entire life and adore the mountains and the 4 seasons we get here, well at least until I have to fully experience any of them. I am sarcastic, pessimistic, and a little too blunt for my own good, but hey, who wants to be lied too? Ironically enough, even with my personality, I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychological Science. That is big fancy talk for I use that degree now to explain that I am great with people, considering I have changed my career and academic path to the business side of things.

When I am not working or going to school, I tend to watch crappy TV and do some crafts. I have always been a fan of arts and crafts, I was lucky to have two very crafty grandmothers to look up to. But not to teach me, because they both died before puberty.

My first grandma to pass away was a really neat lady, who also really liked clowns and made me REALLY not. Her craft specialty was anything with yarn, fabric, etc. So, after her death at measly 9 years of age, I attempted to teach myself how to crochet. I adored it, but it would take so long and you would need SO much yarn to do anything. Now remember a sentence ago when I said “attempted”, yea so I taught myself wrong and I didn’t think to figure that out until about 3 months ago. I don’t have to use nearly as much yarn as before, thank God.

My second (and final) grandma to pass away was an expert with a pencil, pen, or a paintbrush (she could also knit, but like come on, she was a grandma). I never got to see her in action though since by the time I was born her illness had worsened unfortunately, but I grew up hearing story after story and seeing all these amazing projects she did. You are never going to guess what I did then…I started to draw, crazy story right? Anyways, I cannot paint, suck at it, but I’m not too shabby with a pencil or pen. I have a great time with markers, love them. Please don’t make me pull an idea to draw from my own head though, my inside brain vision doesn’t work that way and I’ll go into shock (thank you reference pictures).

I have had some pretty crazy experiences throughout my short life even with my grandma style crafts, this time I am not being sarcastic by the way folks. I hope to be able to share more about me and maybe make some other people feel better about where they are at in life, make you freeze in shock and horror (don’t worry we won’t get too personal), and let you laugh with me or at me (dealer’s choice). I also hope to share some crafting stuff, with blunt, honest reviews and my experiences, plus promote the materials I have been using for over ten years that I stand by for those just starting or looking for a change. And things I have used in the past that are great for starting out, and much more cost efficient. This whole blog idea thing is a work in progress, but that is okay. We are going to build the plane as we fly it, and the door may come off or we might need a few emergency landings, but hey we will get there.
